The touch functions is very good when working on Apple's sofware, but with Sketchup doesn't. Magic Mouse is very bad to work with SketchUp! Not accurate and middle click does not work well. It's ok, because middle click worked now. On BetterTouchTool i didn't found an option to assign all this things (control+comand+left click).

I will try to find anything like this for Windows version. I don't know if SKP (Windows Version) has a shortcut equivalent. Worked on SKP (Mac OS) but not on SKP (Win 7 via Bootcamp). It features the MagicMenu, the ability to bind a variable number of finger clicks and taps to functions like Middle Click, Hold Down Both Mouse Buttons, Spaces, Expose, Dashboard, MagicMenu etc.

Only disable that shortcut to Dashboard and middle click orbit worked fine.īut this control-command-left click is very good. MagicPrefs 1.7.3 MagicPrefs is a toolbar application for OS X which aims to improve the functionality and configuration options of the Apple Magic Mouse. The middle click was assigned at system preferences to open Dashboard. I dont have the sideway click and cannot use the additional buttons but at least, it is usable with SU. So, after fighting for an hour or so, trying to draw with SU, I gave up and removed the Logitech driver. You must note that I also have the Magic Trackpad hooked wirelesly on my iMac. I did and I discovered that the mouse reaction, especially with SU is now quite sluggish.

But, you need to install the Logitech Mouse Driver to enable this feature as well as the use of the two additional buttons on the side of the mouse. After a couple of weeks, I discovered that the wheel of this mouse can also be pushed sideway. However, the speed is too great and I need to go to the mouse controp panel to slow it down a little. At first, I did not install the driver since, it did not required it to work. Also, with SU, it stops working from time to time so, I decided to buy a Logitech 505 wireless mouse with a classic roller. It works but, since this mouse do not gives a tactile feedback, I need to peek at the mouse to make sure that my index is in its center to be able to use the virtual 3rd button. I installed it and created a center button (3rd button if you prefer). However, before going to buy the Magic Mouse, I had read about the BetterTouchTools software. It works but, without a third button, it is useless for SU. Unable to find a replacement since Apple do not make Wireless Migthy Mouse any more, only wired one and I prefer wireless since it save on desktop clutter, I decided to try the Apple Magic Mouse. I enabled the center roller as the third button in the Mouse Preference Panel and it worked perfectly with SketchUp (SU). Except for that problem, this mouse has always been a pleasure to use. None of the tricks that I knew to clean it works anymore. After four years of use, my wireless Mighty Mouse (with the small round roller) started acting badly, with the roller nor working for scroll up.
